Order Sorting workflows

Overview

Skublox’s Put-to-Light and Pick-to-Light workflows are two different order sorting methods that can be used in your day-to-day sorting operations. While both processes are designed to help improve order sorting efficiency, they have distinct characteristics and applications.

Choose a Sorting workflow

To ensure proper order sorting, you must select a sorting workflow for each newly created wall.

Put-to-Light is the primary method used in order sorting processes, where items are brought to a specific location after being picked and sorted into individual customer orders on a stationary Skublox wall. Learn more about Skublox’s Put-to-Light feature here.

Pick-to-Light, on the other hand, is used during the order-picking process and is performed through the Skustack application. It enables warehouse workers to pick items for orders while simultaneously sorting them onto a mobile cart. Note that to use this feature, your warehouse has to be bin-enabled. Learn more about Skustack’s Pick-to-Light feature here.

To choose a workflow:

  1. Create a new sorting wall from either the Skublox Controller or Skublox Hub. You will be prompted to select a sorting workflow.
  2. Click on one of the sorting workflows as shown below.
Once this setting is selected, it cannot be modified at a later time.
